Multimedia Equipment and Software

Want to do some content production on your own computer? You can spend a small fortune buying hardware and software but there are many very user-friendly programs that are free or cost very little.

The Freedom Forum, based in Washington, D.C., a nonpartisan foundation dedicated to free press, free speech and free spirit for all people, offers some suggestions on their website.

  1. I think this website is a great tool, and is so important in today’s world. I don’t have a blog other than this class, but I know people that do and it is good resource for networking along with many other things. I think if you want to build lasting relationships with consumers you we should focus on generating interesting and strong content that leaves them wanting more. With creating content you want to separate yourself from others, and I think this website helps give options to doing just that.

Content can be created without cost, and with the economy the way it is now people are looking to cut cost anywhere they can. Anyone can create content, and this website gives us resources to do so. In my opinion the website was easy to navigate and covenant. It took had links to different websites to find what you need. I believe they will receive a wide audience with their different links, and choices.

  2. I love user-run blogs/webcasts. At least 3 of my favorite bands webcast once a week. It's a great way too connect with fans. Their page also has a chat window where you can talk to them and other fans during the cast.

I checked out some of the sites and the programs are pretty fun, or at least interesting. (and free)
A lot of entertainers don't have tons to spend right out of the gate so these programs (along with a few bits of hardware; microphones, headphones, etc) are a great way to cut costs.
